The User is invited to read these Terms carefully and agrees to accept them before completing a booking through the Website. For any cancellation or refund request, please write to info@greatitalianoutdoors.com quoting your name and booking reference number.

Terms of Service

These terms govern the refund and cancellation conditions for services offered under the brand 40 Gradi Nord, owned by Great Italian Outdoors LTD, a tour operator registered in the United Kingdom, through the platform https://www.40gradinord.com.

Definitions

  • “User Account” — profile created by the User upon registration on the Website
  • “Listing” — section of the Website describing the types of services offered
  • “Partner” — person or company providing the services listed on the Website
  • “Tour Price” — total cost due from the User for the selected service
  • “User” — individual or legal entity requesting the booking of a Service through the Website

Bookings

To book an activity, simply browse the Website’s Home Page, open the activity page, and click the “Prenota” (Italian) or “Book Now” (English) button.

On the next screen, select the number of participants and preferred dates. Payment can be completed from the cart via credit/debit card, bank transfer, or other available methods.

Changes by the User

Users may request amendments to their booking — for number of participants or itinerary — up to 7 days before the start of the activity. 40 Gradi Nord will respond by email or phone, indicating any applicable price adjustment.

If rescheduling or modifying the activity is not possible, the User may request a Cancellation.

Cancellations & Refunds

All cancellation or amendment requests must be sent to info@greatitalianoutdoors.com quoting your name and the booking reference from your confirmation email.

In the event of a “no show” — failure to appear at the meeting point — a penalty equal to 100% of the service cost will apply, with no refund issued.

* Pursuant to art. 1382 of the Italian Civil Code, a penalty equal to 100% of the service cost will be applied.

** Some payment processors (WooCommerce / Stripe / PayPal / Apple Pay / Google Pay, etc.) may retain a transaction fee typically between 1.4% and 2% of the total amount.

Cancellation due to Bad Weather

In the event of bad weather, sudden equipment failure, or guide illness, the User may request to anticipate or postopone the activity to a better day. If rescheduling is not possible then it is possible to agree on cancelling the booking and to receive a refund. Only the administrative processing fee of 1.4% of the total may be charged.

Cancellation due to Force Majeure

40 Gradi Nord shall not be liable for any refund in the event of cancellations caused by Force Majeure (extraordinary events, airport closures, serious illness, natural disasters, fires, military action, hurricanes, adverse weather conditions, etc.).

Should the User be unable to use the Service due to Force Majeure, 40 Gradi Nord reserves the right to refund the applicable amount at its sole discretion.

Changes by 40 Gradi Nord

In rare cases it may be necessary to modify an itinerary or the dates of an activity. 40 Gradi Nord will promptly contact the User with an updated plan. If the changes are not acceptable, the User may request an alternative arrangement or a full refund.

Personal Insurance

40 Gradi Nord strongly recommends that all clients take out adequate insurance covering their chosen activities. Many insurers do not cover activities deemed hazardous. Recommended providers:

It is the User’s responsibility to ensure their policy covers the booked activities and to keep a copy of it readily available.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed in their entirety by Italian law. The original Italian-language text is legally binding; any translations into other languages are for informational purposes only.

The competent court shall be that of the User-consumer’s place of residence. Where the User does not qualify as a consumer under applicable Italian law (d.lgs. 206/2005), exclusive jurisdiction shall vest in the Court of Manchester.

Amendments

40 Gradi Nord may amend these Terms at any time at its sole discretion. Users are invited to review them before each booking. Amendments will not apply to bookings already confirmed at the time of the change.
